This website, "Roses at Araluen Botanic Park", is designed to showcase some of the delights of the rose gardens at Araluen.

When visiting the park ask at the front gate for a list of the roses and the map of the rose beds.

There are several gardens dedicated to roses throughout the park.

The entry car park,  just inside the main entrance has several bushes of Crepuscule and Mutabilis as well as other varieties.

The Concourse area, across the pool below the entrance car park, is where roses were originally grown and contains a number of important early Hybrid Tea roses.

The Contour Walk, below the Chalet Healey, has Species, David Austin and Moss Roses.

The Top Rose Garden, further up the hill, has a number of distinct beds each of which has a specific rose theme: eg Tea and Chinas, Alister Clarks, Shrub and Gallicas etc. Other gardens are simply named for their location

Many of the photographs on these pages indicate when they were taken to give some idea when particular roses may be seen in flower.
